At the departure point of May 7, 2008, there were eight of us. Two Quebeckers and six French people left Valence, France with an aspiration to do a world tour. Each participant had his/her own conception of traveling and at the starting point we all agreed to hitch-hike a bit to make various encounters happen. However, over the time the philosophy of an ideal traveling had slowly evolved to the point when hitch-hiking became more preferable than walking for some of the team members.
At that point the team had to split up. Therefore, from Turkey and on, there were left three members of the original team who continued their traveling on foot only and since then whenever we have to travel by a car or a bus we go back to those exact places later to cover every meter of our tour on feet.
At present, all of us are traveling through our own different ways. You can find Caroline and Mathieu at whilewalking and Sylvain at www.sylvain-autourdumonde.com.
